Services and Programs
We currently offer dozens of community programs that are free to the public: lessons in Beginning Spanish, Tai' Chi, Beginning American Sign Language, and Yoga; our gallery provides space for local gay and lesbian artists to show their work; etc. In 2004 - 2005, The Center will create a Leadership Training Institute for young people, provide space for the transgender community to come together, find ways to serve LGBT families, provide space for coming out groups, talk about domestic violence in the LGBT community, continue to find ways to serve the Latino/a LGBT community, and expand The Center Gay & Lesbian Film Series. One-time events that may become annual events include a gay and lesbian travel expo, gay and lesbian health fair, and a Celebration of Life event. The Center is also convening conversations about faith traditions and about mental health care.
