Resources
The following resources provide a wealth of information to assist
staff, volunteers and board members with building more sustainable
and effective LGBT community centers. These organizations
and links cover LGBT organizations and resources, as well as all
aspects of nonprofit management, advocacy, volunteerism, board development,
philanthropy and fundraising, evaluation, legal issues and technology. Much
of this information is free or available for a modest fee. We
encourage you to peruse these sites and let us know how we might

Its Nonprofit Advocacy Project works to strengthen the voice of the
nonprofit sector in public policy debates by giving tax-exempt
organizations a better understanding of the laws that govern
their participation in the policy process.

A nonprofit training, consulting and research organization with a
broad range of services that provide nonprofits with the management
tools, concepts and strategies necessary to shape change in their
communities.

A wealth of web-based information for grantseekers. Also, locations
in Atlanta, Chicago, Cleveland, NYC, San Francisco. In addition,
Cooperating Collections are free funding information centers in libraries,
community foundations, and other nonprofit resource centers that
provide a core collection of Foundation Center publications and a
variety of supplementary materials and services in areas useful to

A wealth of articles and information on every imaginable topic related
to building the capacity and infrastructure of nonprofits. Includes

The National Gay and Lesbian Task Force offers this link to hundreds
of local, state, and national LGBT organizations including political,
