CENTERLINK HONORED AS 2013 TOP-RATED NONPROFIT
New GreatNonprofits.org Award is Based on Positive Online Reviews
Ft. Lauderdale, FL – November 6, 2013 – CenterLink: The Community of LGBT Centers announced today that it has been honored with a prestigious 2013 Top-Rated Award by GreatNonprofits, the leading provider of user reviews about nonprofit organizations.
“We are excited to be named a Top-Rated 2013 Nonprofit,” said Terry Stone, Executive Director of CenterLink. “We are proud of our accomplishments this year, including hosting our second annual New Executive Director Boot Camp, our 7th Annual Leadership Summit, board and staff trainings at over twenty LGBT community centers and one-on-one coaching and resource assistance in response to over seven hundred and fifty community center requests via phone and online interactions.”
The Top-Rated Nonprofit award was based on the large number of positive reviews that CenterLink received – reviews written by volunteers, donors and clients. People posted their personal experience with the nonprofit. For example, one person wrote, “Centerlink has been the best resource so far in my role as an LGBT Community Center Executive Director. They are smart, intentional and strategic with their programming, retreats, education and support. Our greater LGBT community is better off because Centerlink exists.”
CenterLink is part of the inaugural group to be named this year.
“Savvy donors want to see the impact of their donations more than ever,” said Perla Ni, CEO of GreatNonprofits, “People with direct experience with CenterLink have voted that the organization is making a real difference.”
Being on the Top-Rated list gives donors and volunteers more confidence that this is a credible organization. The reviews by volunteers, clients and other donors show the on-the-ground results of this nonprofit. This award is a form of recognition by the community.
